Nutrition is a very important aspect to training and recovery and the following is a list of food items I try to focus on and a list of items I try to avoid.
- Eggs, unprocessed cheese.
- Unprocessed meats including beef, turkey, chicken, lamb, fish and shellfish.
- Raw vegetables.
- Unrefined grains including sprouted bread.
- Nuts, seeds, nut butters.
- Oils, vinegar, salsa, mustard and spices.
- Sea salt.
- Coffee, tea and wine!
- Muffins, chips and crackers.
- Sweets such as cake, cookies, ice-cream.
- Fruit juice.
- Processed meats.
- Soda pop.
