Earlier this spring someone asked me what my racing plans were and my response was, "track, if that doesn't go well, marathon and if that doesn't go well, ultra marathon". His response was, "that's casting a pretty large net". Indeed it was but I was in some ways waiting for a sign as too which direction to follow but after Saturdays workout of 2 x 200m in 38sec, 2 x 200m in 34sec, 2 x 400m in 68sec and 2 x 200m in 32sec the gravel track parted and direction appeared.
Outdoor track season hear we come.
If one were to look at me, their first thought would not be marathon runner:-), at 165lbs I have often thought that I was better suited to the track and I do like the short stuff, no gels required and home in time for dinner:-)
