Its almost time to show some speed, the big show is almost here and I need to put down some solid times at CalTaf on June 18th to 19th and Trials Tune Up June 24th to 25th in order to register for Nationals coming up here in Edmonton on July 7th to 10th.
Heres hoping all the event specific training comes together in time for the big show. The short intervals to increase my ability to run faster longer; the short tempo runs to increase my ability to sustain pace over specific distances; the dynamic leadups to increase my speed and running efficiency; the balance, foot and core work to to increase my ability to apply force and the recovery runs to aid my recovery.
One more training event this Sunday with an 800m to build speed and then we taper and focus on making this happen.
Its a long shot and Statler and Waldorf will sure to be watching from the left balcony critiquing how things unfold, but what is life without a few unrealistic goals!
