While mileage has been down the strength hours have been significant with two to three sessions per day. The strength sessions have been short but focused and on occasion on the shop floor between customers.
These strength sessions have been long duration extreme isometrics focused for the past three months but we are now transitioning to some more plyometric based exercises leading into the outdoor season.
Taking this step back to rebuild took a leap of faith as there was very little running with only one formal run or ski per week but I feel the gym work is paying off and with the formal run workouts I have done this spring, the speed is there but the lack of effort to reach speed is the noticeable touch.
Currently continuing to focus on only one formal run per week and strength seven days per week and the two to three sessions per day. Last week was strength position testing to monitor progression and will post results in the coming weeks.
