This past weekend saw the Stewart Cup. A race I highlighted as a key race. Training was on target and form was strong, but the mind was flat.
At times I have a tendency to over think things in terms of day to day activities and the ensuing stress leads to being overwhelmed and shut down mode.
I have always been good at juggling but at times I drop a ball or two, but in dropping I learn and build.
I arrived at Goldbar Park for the Stewart Cup with having not rebounded but now have given myself time to reflect and feel stronger.
While training is important, the way we arrange that training and the way we balance that training with the things we do each and everyday is also important, arriving at our key events rested and in a good mindset.
Now we learn, move forward and build for Provincial XC and Nationals XC.
