Originally I had thought I would do the complete Frank's and Saucony series but I feel I wasn't quite ready and after the first two events have decided to take a break from the racing and focus on training and building aerobic fitness with the short tempo runs and the short condensed interval sessions.
I will be aiming to do three of the short tempo sessions per day but will be doing two of the three sessions standing on a stationary bike to reduce impact and keep heart rate values similar to when running, a poor mans Anti Gravity Treadmill if you will.
The goal will be to be back racing for the Stewart Cup!
The Saucony XC Series begins tomorrow at Goldstick Park and I while do not feel the body is ready for a hard effort I am looking forward to toeing the line and using this a training race in preparation for the bigger events latter in the fall.
